PIONEERS SINCE 1998 · 28 YEARS OF MARINE EVA MASTERY

Born in Offshore Watercraft Racing. Engineered for the World’s Finest Boats & Shipyards.

Founded in 1998 under the name Jettraction, JETTDECK® became the second company in the world—and the first in Brazil—to manufacture closed-cell marine EVA flooring. For nearly three decades, our obsession with 10 mm vulcanized comfort, zero-stain surface chemistry, and peel-proof marine adhesion has set the benchmark across thousands of sportboats, center consoles, luxury yachts, and OEM production lines.

THE JETTDECK® HERITAGE · 1998 TO TODAY

Three Decades of Testing Under Relentless Sun and Saltwater

Long before marine EVA foam became an industry trend, our founders were engineering traction materials in the most punishing marine environment on earth.

ACT I · 1998 — JETTRACTION

Born on the Offshore Personal Watercraft Race Course

The story of JETTDECK® begins in 1998 in Greater Florianópolis (Santa Catarina, Brazil’s premier yacht-building hub) under the founding name Jettraction. Recognizing an unmet need in high-impact watersports, Jettraction became the second company in the world to manufacture marine EVA flooring—and the first in Brazil.

Our very first EVA traction pad was developed exclusively for competitive personal watercraft (jet-ski) racing pilots. When an offshore rider hits a 6-foot wave at 60 mph, footing isn’t a luxury—it’s survival. Ordinary adhesives peeled under saltwater torque and low-density foams tore after a single race. Meeting the brutal physical demands of championship riders forged the permanent quality culture that defines every sheet we manufacture today.

ACT II · NAVAL HOMOLOGATION & POLYMER SCIENCE

First Sports Life Vests Homologated by the Navy & Tropical UV Mastery

Jettraction’s second landmark achievement was its line of high-performance competition life vests engineered for the same offshore racing athletes. Tested under extreme impact and buoyancy standards, these became the first sports life vests officially homologated by the Brazilian Navy (Marinha do Brasil).

Working year-round in intense tropical UV radiation and high-salinity coastal waters gave our polymer engineers a multi-decade proving ground. We perfected high-density closed-cell cross-linked EVA formulations that resist solar heat retention, block UV degradation for 3,000+ hours, and fusion-bond layers thermally without inter-layer glue.

  • Zero Inter-Layer Glue: Thermal vulcanization fuses top and bottom layers into a single molecular sheet.
  • Tropical UV Proving Ground: Engineered to stay cool underfoot and never chalk, shrink, or curl in intense sun.
  • Competition-Grade Wet Grip: Micro-brushed surface texture channels water away for reliable footing in rough seas.

ACT III · 2013 TO FLIBS 2026 — GLOBAL EXPANSION

The Evolution into JETTDECK® & North American Expansion

Driven by demand from yacht owners and boat builders who saw how our watercraft traction mats withstood years of abuse, the company expanded from personal watercraft to full-cockpit architectural decking. In 2013, Jettraction evolved into JETTDECK®, launching bespoke 5-axis CNC-routed 10 mm vulcanized EVA marine flooring for center consoles, sportfishing yachts, bowriders, wake boats, sailboats, and commercial vessels.

After engineering hundreds of production hull templates for leading shipyards—including Focker, Cimitarra, Schaefer, FS Yachts, Real Powerboats, Azov, Phantom, Ventura, Arthmarine, and Evolve—JETTDECK® is proud to bring our 10 mm custom boat kits, 65" × 45" (inches) wholesale CNC sheets, and OEM supply programs to the United States, anchored at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS 2026, Broward Convention Center, Booth C72).

MATERIAL SCIENCE & ENGINEERING DNA

Why 10 mm Vulcanized JETTDECK® Outperforms Standard 6 mm Foam

Every JETTDECK® sheet and custom boat kit is governed by three non-negotiable physical specifications engineered for offshore durability.

Cross-section comparison showing 10 mm JETTDECK EVA thickness versus 6 mm standard foam
PILLAR 01 · EXTRA COMFORT

10 mm Standard Thickness (66% Thicker)

While most U.S. aftermarket foam defaults to 5 mm or 6 mm (which bottoms out under heel pressure), JETTDECK® standardizes on 10 mm closed-cell EVA at 55–65 ± 3 Shore C hardness and 0.16 g/cm³ density. The result is superior anti-fatigue cushioning at the helm, joint relief in heavy offshore chop, and cool-touch thermal insulation under direct Florida sun.

PILLAR 02 · DOESN’T STAIN

100% Closed-Cell Stain Immunity

Generic open-pore or semi-closed marine pads act like sponges—wicking fish blood, squid ink, bait oil, sunscreen, and red wine deep into the foam core. JETTDECK®’s cross-linked closed-cell matrix has zero water absorption, keeping contaminants strictly on the surface so your deck washes clean in seconds with simple soap and water.

PILLAR 03 · DOESN’T PEEL

Exclusive Vulcanized Fusion & Marine PSA

Ordinary two-tone CNC sheets glue two thin foam layers together—causing top-layer blistering when routed or exposed to summer heat. JETTDECK® thermally vulcanizes its multi-color layers into a single molecular sheet with zero inter-layer glue, backed by genuine 3M™ / high-tack marine-grade pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive (≥ 1.8 kg / 25 mm peel strength).

Engineering Specification & Competitive Comparison Matrix

Engineering Dimension JETTDECK® 10 mm Vulcanized System Standard 6 mm Aftermarket Foam Traditional Wood Teak / Marine Carpet
Standard Thickness 10 mm Standard (66% thicker shock absorption) 5 mm – 6 mm (thin; bottoms out underfoot) Heavy timber or thin mold-prone pile
Multi-Layer Bonding Thermally Vulcanized Molecular Fusion (No inter-layer glue; never delaminates) Adhesive-glued layers (prone to edge peeling & heat blisters) Caulked seams / glued carpet backing
Deck Adhesive Backing Genuine 3M™ / High-Tack Marine Acrylic PSA (≥ 1.8 kg / 25 mm peel strength) Generic rubber/acrylic PSA (curls in tropical deck heat) Mechanical fasteners, epoxy, or messy glue
Cell Structure & Density 100% Closed-Cell Marine EVA (0.16 g/cm³ · 55–65 ± 3 Shore C) Semi-open / variable low-density blend Porous wood grain or water-trapping fibers
Stain & Fishing Resistance Impervious to Fish Blood, Bait Oil & Wine (Soap & water washdown) Absorbs blood & oils into cut routing grooves Requires harsh acid brighteners, sanding & sealing
UV & Thermal Performance 3,000+ Hours UV Stability · Low thermal retention (cool barefoot) Fades, chalks, or shrinks under intense southern UV Wood teak burns bare feet in summer sun
